Public outreach
Our mission
Within the Clinical Research Unit (CRU) “CATCH ALL – towards a cure for all adults and children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL)”, funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), an interdisciplinary team of clinicians and basic scientists organized within the University Cancer Center Schleswig-Holstein (UCCSH) at UKSH and in the Kiel Oncology Network (KON) at Kiel University will explore novel approaches for improved precision therapies for ALL patients across all age groups. The overall goal of the CRU is to integrate comprehensive clinical and molecular data from adult and pediatric ALL patients to better understand the molecular and immunological mechanisms driving leukemia persistence to foster clinical translation.
Information for Physicians:
Members of the CATCH ALL clinical research consortium meet on a regular basis within the framework of the
CATCH ALL Molecular Tumor Board / Leukemia Board.
The primary objective of the CATCH ALL Molecular Leukemia Board is to jointly and interdisciplinarily discuss
pediatric and adult patients, integrating clinical teams and scientists from the CATCH ALL clinical research
group as well as the pediatric study group (ALL-BFM) and the adult study group (GMALL).
This cross-age and cross-disciplinary approach aims to facilitate individualized treatment strategies and
study enrollment across regions.
The CATCH ALL Board:
- is open to participating centers within the study groups,
- provides the opportunity to present individual patient cases,
- offers comprehensive molecular characterization of leukemias and age-spanning subtype classification
